Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-11-02

This policy explains how refunds work for Tabibito Premium, operated by Daniel Rodríguez (Costa Rica).

Premium payments are processed by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record -- Paddle handles the actual charge, refund, and any applicable tax, and is who you have the payment contractual relationship with.

1. The free trial is the easiest way to avoid needing a refund

Every new Premium subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. You're never charged during the trial, and you can cancel at any time before it ends -- directly from your account, no need to contact us -- with no charge at all.

If you cancel during the trial, there's nothing to refund: no payment was ever taken.

2. Refunds after you've been charged

Within 14 days of the charge, you can write to us at legal@tabibitotravel.com to request a refund. We review each request individually -- it's not automatic -- and we reserve the right to decline requests that look like abuse of this benefit (for example, repeated free-trial-then-refund cycles).

Outside that 14-day window, refund requests are evaluated case by case the same way -- write to us and explain the situation.

3. Cancelling isn't the same as refunding

Cancelling your subscription (from your account's Premium section, or via Paddle's billing portal) stops future renewals, but doesn't by itself refund the period you already paid for -- you keep Premium access until that period ends.

If you want your money back for the current period too, that's a refund request (section 2), not just a cancellation.

4. How refunds are paid back

Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer, typically a few business days.

5. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll note it on this same page along with the last-updated date.
